TINES® Polyrail 53+ is a two-component epoxy resin with dielectric properties designed for priming, as well as for making fastenings, anchoring, and repairs in concrete slabs. It is part of the set of TINES® Polyrail materials used for continuous or discrete elastic rail fastening systems in tram tracks.

TINES® Polyrail 53+ is intended for:

  • applying primer coats protecting steel and concrete elements against corrosion,
  • applying dielectric coats on rails to protect tram tracks against the effects of stray currents,
  • protecting concrete against water absorption,
  • anchoring steel elements in horizontal concrete surfaces – embedment of rods, anchors, barriers, poles, bolts, and other track elements (railway, tramway, metro, and industrial railway),
  • bonding filler inserts into rail web chambers, e.g. concrete blocks,
  • bonding a continuous elastic under-rail pad in the TINES® ERS and TINES® TRAM ERS embedded rail system,
  • repairing defects in reinforced concrete slabs,
  • improving the adhesion of TINES® Polyrail series materials to the substrate.

Product characteristics:

  • very high mechanical strength, including compressive, flexural, abrasion, and pull-out resistance,
  • excellent adhesion to concrete substrates,
  • can be applied to dry, damp, and wet concrete substrates,
  • excellent adhesion to steel substrates,
  • corrosion protection for steel and concrete surfaces,
  • suitable for use on dynamically loaded structures,
  • forms coatings with dielectric properties,
  • high penetration capacity and surface strengthening of concrete substrates,
  • excellent sealing properties – the coating is impermeable to water and water vapor,
  • protects concrete against dusting, moisture penetration, and liquid absorption,
  • resistant to water, moisture, and chemicals,
  • solvent-free,
  • short curing time after mixing the components,
  • easy material preparation and application,
  • easy visual control of coverage.
