TINES® Polyrail 50/55 is a two-component, solvent-free polyurethane elastomer designed for elastic rail attachment, for use in engineering and transport construction.
TINES® Polyrail 50/55 is intended for:
- use in ballastless tramway surfaces, as a flexible material dampening vibrations and noise emitted by rail vehicles during their passage,
- performing continuous casting under the rail foot,
- performing point casting under ribbed pads,
- continuous attachment and elastic support of the rail in the TINES® TRAM ERS rail attachment system,
- elastic filling of expansion joints between precast concrete slabs, and between slabs and other elements in the track belt, e.g., granite blocks or concrete,
- elastic filling of gaps between the rail and other materials in the track belt, e.g., granite blocks or concrete,
- for sealing areas around the rails, modernizing and repairing deficiencies in these areas and in expansion joints.
TINES® Polyrail 50/55 is part of the TINES® Polyrail material set used for continuous or discontinuous (point) elastic rail attachment systems in tram tracks and rail surfaces. The set is especially dedicated to those sections where it is important to reduce the level of vibrations and noise emitted to the route environment due to the movement of rail vehicles.
Product Characteristics:
- resilient and elastic material providing vibration damping and noise reduction from tram traffic to the route environment,
- elastically transferring dynamic forces from tram movement to the track plate constituting the main substructure of the tram track and extending the durability of the concrete base,
- self-leveling (allows precise rail positioning and adapts to the substrate),
- easy to apply (low viscosity),
- solvent-free,
- not containing rubber and cork fillers,
- with excellent adhesion to steel and concrete when combined with TINES® Polyrail Primer or TINES® Polyrail 53+,
- capable of filling narrow gaps,
- guaranteeing the tightness and durability of connections,
- providing electrical insulation of rails and protecting the tram route environment against so-called stray currents,
- insensitive to water and moisture exposure,
- with a long anticipated operational durability, allowing to reduce the maintenance costs of the track surface,
- ensuring durable rail fastening,
- allowing for quick rail replacement and short track closure,
- virtually maintenance-free track service,
