Watertight Rail Tray, Rail Drip Tray, Rail Drip Trough
TINES® SRT Prefabricated Rail Containment Tray
The TINES® SRT Prefabricated Rail Containment Tray is a prefabricated structural component of a ballastless railway track system, manufactured from reinforced concrete and designed for installation in locations where the track substructure must be protected against the infiltration of hazardous liquids and contaminants. The tray is designed as a monolithic reinforced concrete trough with raised side walls. It incorporates provisions for the installation of railway track directly on discrete concrete support blocks, which are permanently integrated with the tray base. The rails are fastened using resilient fastening systems, ensuring the geometric stability of the track while providing effective vibration damping.

System Description
System Applications:
Thanks to its design and technical properties, the TINES® SRT system is ideally suited for the construction of railway vehicle refuelling stations. It can be successfully used for servicing a wide range of rail vehicles, including diesel locomotives, railway tank wagons, rail inspection vehicles, road-rail vehicles, and specialist vehicles used in railway, industrial, and military transport. The use of the TINES® SRT system in such facilities significantly reduces the risk of fuel and other hazardous substance leaks, thereby enhancing the protection of the environment, infrastructure, and personnel working within these facilities.
One of the key applications of the TINES® SRT prefabricated elements is the construction o watertight railway track structures that comply with stringent environmental protection requirements and groundwater protection standards. Thanks to their watertight design, the system minimizes the risk of fuel and petroleum product leakage, which is of particular importance in environmentally sensitive areas subject to strict environmental regulations. The solution is also especially suitable for locations where there is a risk of liquids penetrating the ground, particularly in facilities used for the external washing of railway vehicles.
Typical applications include:
- Hazardous material transfer stations, particularly for liquid substances.
- Automatic washing facilities for railway vehicles, including locomotives and railcars.
- Manual external washing stations for railway vehicles.
- Closed-system toilet servicing and waste disposal stations.
- Washing stations for components contaminated with petroleum-based substances that pose an environmental risk, particularly in railway maintenance workshops.
- Decontamination facilities located at national border crossings and sanitary control points.
System Components

1.TINES® SRT Prefabricated Large-Size Track Slab , 2.TINES® W14 Resilient Rail Fastening System
The TINES® SRT Prefabricated Large-Size Track Slabs are manufactured as modular elements, with dimensions selected according to the geometric parameters of the track, the rail profile used, and local design and operational requirements. The slab structure incorporates integrated rail support blocks, permanently bonded to the base slab. The support blocks feature a transverse inclination of 1:40, corresponding to the required rail cant. The rail supports are arranged at a spacing of 0.60 m. During the prefabrication process, threaded dowels are installed within the rail supports to enable the installation of fastening system bolts for the TINES® W14 Rail Fastening System. The slabs are also equipped with specially shaped recesses designed for the installation of Wfp-type angle guide rails.

The TINES® W14 Resilient Rail Fastening System is designed for discrete rail support and point fastening of rails to ensure the required track gauge and clamping force, preventing rail displacement from its designated position. The use of an Skl14-type elastic rail clip with a central loop positioned above the rail foot provides the required elasticity of the fastening system. This eliminates the risk of overloading the clip arms and their permanent deformation, while also preventing rail rotation. The angle guides transfer the pressure from the elastic rail clip and ensure its correct positioning, as well as provide electrical insulation between the rail, the elastic clip, and the fastening screws. The angle guides also enable horizontal track gauge adjustment, including track widening in curves. The under-rail pad, installed beneath the rail foot and dimensionally adapted to the rail profile, provides electrical insulation between the rail and the TINES® SRT track slab and reduces the dynamic loads transferred to the slab.
System Advantages:
- complete watertightness and environmental protection
- resistance to chemical substances and fuels
- integration with railway track structures
- operational safety
- ease of maintenance and inspection
