Vibration Isolation Mats TINES®

In line with current environmental protection requirements, the degree of impact of the metro system on the remaining infrastructure and above-ground buildings, an effective solution to protect the environment from the adverse effects of metro vehicles is the introduction of vibration isolation mats into the track surface construction.

System Description

When preparing for metro infrastructure modernization and construction projects, it is essential to optimally select structural solutions that minimise the negative impact of vibrations and noise emitted by moving vehicles on the route surroundings. The properties characterising vibration isolation mats, their material parameters, and functional and operational features significantly affect vibroacoustic insulation, electrical insulation, and protection against the adverse impact of stray currents on buildings and people.

TINES offers a wide range of vibration isolation mats, varying in terms of the material from which they are produced, technical parameters, thickness, and application. This provides the opportunity to select vibration-isolating materials according to technical specifications, design specifications, and vibration impact analysis on buildings and people.

Using TINES® vibration isolation mats enhances the comfort of metro passengers and reduces shocks and noise, thereby improving the living standards of residents living around metro lines.

Based on the intended use, we distinguish TINES® vibration isolation mats as:

  • Slab-Track Mats STM (STM- Slab-Track Mats) are designed for ballastless surfaces to be laid under the concrete slab of the rail surface.

  • Sub-Ballast Mats SBM (SBM – Sub-Ballast Mats) are designed for ballasted track surfaces to be laid under the layer of ballast gravel.
