TINES Vibration Isolation Mats
In line with current environmental protection requirements in places where special vibration isolation is required (especially bridges, viaducts, and tunnels located in urbanized zones), an effective solution to protect the environment from adverse impacts of transportation means is the incorporation of vibration isolation mats into rail road construction.
System description
In preparing the implementation of railway infrastructure modernization and construction projects, the optimal selection of construction solutions that minimise the negative impact of train vibrations and noise on the environment is essential. The properties characterising vibration isolation mats, their material parameters, functional and operational features significantly influence vibroacoustic isolation, electrical isolation, and protection against the harmful effects of stray currents on buildings and people.
TINES offers a wide range of vibration isolation mats that vary in terms of material, technical parameters, thickness, and application. This allows for the selection of vibration isolation material according to technical specifications, design requirements, and vibration impact analyses on buildings and people. The use of TINES® vibration isolation mats enhances the comfort of rail passengers and reduces shocks and noise, thereby improving the living standard of residents in proximity to the railway lines.
Depending on their purpose, we distinguish between TINES® vibration isolation mats:
- slab-track mats STM (STM- Slab-Track Mats) designed for ballast-less surfaces, to be laid under the concrete slab of the rail surface.

Sub-ballast anti-vibration mats SBM laid on a soil substrate.

Due to the materials used and production technologies, we offer TINES® anti-vibration mats:
- TINES® Polymat – mats made from polyurethane composite
- TINES® Rubbermat – mats made from rubber granules with a polyurethane binder.
Advantages of TINES® anti-vibration mats:
- High flexibility and durability of the material,
- High fatigue resistance,
- Resistance to long-term dynamic loads,
- High elastic properties,
- High noise and vibration damping properties,
- Protection of track surfaces from wear of sleepers, rails, and ballast,
- Quick and simple installation,
- Resistance to water, high temperatures, and varying climatic conditions,
- Protection of the environment along tracks from stray currents,
- Provision of continuous stable support,
- Customization to meet specific customer requirements.
