TINES® Material Set for Elastic Rail Fastening Systems

TINES Rail is a manufacturer of polyurethane casting compounds, building polyurethanes, and epoxy structural adhesives, included in the TINES® Polyrailmaterial set for elastic rail fastening systems.

The set includes the following products:

• a two-component priming agent based on epoxy resin TINES® Polyrail Primer,
• a two-component casting compound based on polyurethane resin, TINES® Polyrail 50, designed for tram tracks;
• a two-component casting compound based on polyurethane resin, TINES® Polyrail 60, intended for urban railways;

The TINES® Polyrail product set is also used for: creating binding underlays (adhesively attaching) the rail to the track base or supporting them on the foundation; sealing the contact zone of the rail head with road surface elements; and sealing the joints of prefabricated reinforced concrete track plates with each other and the joints of these plates with the asphalt surface. The priming agent TINES® Polyrail Primer included in the TINES® product set is designed for priming concrete substrates or steel substrates before applying the TINES® Polyrail compound.

The selection of products included in the TINES® Polyrail product set for specific applications and the adopted method of fastening (attachment) of the rail should be in accordance with the execution documentation, taking into account in particular its operational properties.

In ballastless track surface construction, the TINES® Polyrail material set is used in elastic rail fastening systems, including:

• the TINES® TRAM ERS rail-in-sleeve system,

• spot underlay,

• continuous underlay.
