TINES has completed the multi-stage process of obtaining permanent certificates of authorisation for placing railway infrastructure solutions into service, issued by the Office of Rail Transport (UTK). The approvals cover track system solutions designed also for use in high-speed rail infrastructure, including solutions intended for operation at speeds exceeding 250 km/h.

The scope of the approvals obtained covers four TINES solutions:

  • TINES EBS is a system designed for use in ballastless track structures, approved for operation at speeds exceeding 250 km/h.
  • TINES EBS-R is a system designed for use in turnouts and track crossings within ballastless track structures, also at speeds exceeding 250 km/h.
  • TINES W14 is a rail fastening system approved for use in TINES ballastless track structures at speeds exceeding 250 km/h.
  • TINES ERS is a solution designed for use in ballastless rail track structures at speeds of up to 250 km/h.

The issuance of the final certificate by UTK marks the completion of the multi-stage approval process. As a result, TINES now has a complete portfolio of solutions for ballastless track structures designed for both conventional railway infrastructure and high-speed rail projects. Obtaining the full set of approvals is the result of many years of developing proprietary technologies, experience gained through project implementation, and the consistent development of TINES’ expertise in the field of railway track structures.

High-speed rail will be one of the most important infrastructure programmes to be implemented in Poland. Its development is not only a matter of technical parameters and selecting the right technologies, but also an opportunity to leverage and further develop the expertise of Polish manufacturers, designers and contractors.

The completion of the approval process confirms that the solutions developed by this Polish manufacturer are formally prepared for use in high-speed rail infrastructure as well.
