During the INFRASZYN 2026 Conference, Magdalena Bodzoń, Technologist at TINES Rail S.A., presented issues related to vibroacoustic isolation in the structure of rail track systems. This was the company’s third presentation devoted to this area.
The presentation emphasized that the resistance of infrastructure to vibrations generated by rail vehicle traffic does not depend solely on design solutions. A comprehensive approach covering the entire investment process is of key importance — from the preparation stage, through design, to construction and operation.
It was also pointed out that each participant in the investment process has a real impact on the quality of the infrastructure being developed. This responsibility includes both the proper definition of requirements and their consistent implementation at subsequent stages of the investment.
During the presentation, reference was also made to the applicable regulations, including statutory provisions that define requirements for limiting the impact of vibrations on people and on the structures of buildings located in the vicinity of a rail track.
To ensure the proper selection of technical solutions and their effective application, close cooperation between all participants in the process is necessary:
— investor
— designer
— contractor
— manufacturer
Only such an approach enables the preparation of consistent and precise provisions in technical documentation, the proper assessment of products and the correct execution of the investment.
A lack of cooperation between process participants may lead to inconsistencies in terminology, imprecise requirements and difficulties in implementing solutions in practice.
Joint actions, the exchange of experience and the consistent improvement of the investment process are essential for building resilient, durable infrastructure that meets operational requirements.
