At one of Elbląg’s key intersections — Józefa Piłsudskiego Avenue and Col. Stanisława Dąbka Street — a reconstruction of the tram track, together with its structural layers and road surface, was carried out. As part of the project, we supplied a complete TINES® TRAM integrated tram-and-road surface system.
The solution included:
- TINES® Rubbermat STM under-slab vibration isolation mats
- the TINES® TRAM ERS rail fastening system in a booted rail configuration
- TINES® TRAM LC-LM intertrack slabs
- TINES® TRAM LC-L track slabs
The integrated surface structure makes it possible to combine the functionality of transport infrastructure with the aesthetics of urban space in an efficient way, while optimising maintenance costs.
An important aspect of the project was also the verification of the system in demanding weather conditions. The beginning of 2026 brought one of the coldest winters Poland has seen in many years, with local temperatures falling below –20°C. The solution operated without disruption in these conditions, as confirmed by references issued by the City of Elbląg.
The general contractor for the project was Budowlano-Drogowa MTM S.A., while on-site works were carried out by the Rajbud team.
We are pleased to have been part of a project that supports the development of modern and sustainable urban mobility.
