TINES has delivered the TINES® integrated railway-road surface system for the construction of infrastructure at the intermodal terminal in Małaszewicze.
As part of the investment, carried out in cooperation with TorKol Sp. z o.o., prefabricated TINES® LC-L track slabs with increased load-bearing capacity were used to construct the track surface at the crossing through the terminal slab.
The applied ballastless solution was designed for operation under conditions of intensive use and high dynamic loads generated by both rail traffic and the technological vehicles used in transshipment processes.
The structure takes into account the specific requirements of terminal infrastructure, particularly in terms of operational durability, load-bearing capacity, and maintaining the appropriate geometric parameters of the track over many years of use.
Intermodal terminals are a specific type of rail infrastructure where freight train traffic operates alongside intensive movement of wheeled vehicles used to support logistics processes. Under such conditions, ballastless solutions that ensure high durability and reduce maintenance requirements are becoming increasingly important.
The use of systems such as the TINES® integrated railway-road surface fits into the development direction of modern intermodal infrastructure, focused on increasing reliability, operational efficiency, and the safety of logistics facilities.
Container terminals, logistics centres, and industrial sidings now play an important role in national and international supply chains. The quality of the infrastructure used has a direct impact on their operational efficiency and their ability to handle growing transport flows.
