Much has already been written about the role of the development of High-Speed Rail (HSR) in Poland. In a culture racing for milliseconds or even nanoseconds, the value of time takes on a new meaning. HSR is a project in the category of civilizational challenges, fitting into the concept of a transport revolution and serving as a marker of a country’s modernity. But it is also an innovative undertaking of significant importance for the economy and society, aiming to increase the spatial accessibility of regions and achieve sustainable mobility. It is a project intended to be carried out over many years, which will impact the economy, employment levels, and the development of scientific research in the field of transport and beyond.
On October 28–30, 2024, the International Scientific and Technical Conference “Development of High-Speed Rail in Poland – HSR PL 2024” will be held in Lodz. Representatives of TINES will participate in discussion panels.
