On April 17, 2024, the Congress of Designers and Engineers took place at the Copernicus Science Center, organized by the Economic Advisory Team TOR, the “Rynek Infrastruktury” portal, and the National Association of Designers and Engineers. The event attracted a wide group of professionals and representatives from the design and engineering sectors. The official opening of the Congress was conducted by Dariusz Klimczak, Minister of Infrastructure, and TINES was among the partners supporting this important event in the construction engineering business sector.

The Congress opened discussions on topics such as continuing services in existing and new investments, digitization of processes, geological research, and nuclear energy. An engaging discussion took place during Panel II Session, where the topic “How to Educate and Recruit New Design and Engineering Staff” was initiated. One of the panelists in this debate was Tomasz Szuba, President of TINES Rail.

“TINES focuses on diversity and integration. The railway investment sector is exciting, but the outside world doesn’t know it. Young people are not looking for jobs in the railway or road industry because they don’t see development opportunities there. Yet, rail is the most promising mode of transport. To attract students to our industry, we must continuously and consistently collaborate with universities. We need to promote the industry and advertise it as an interesting, growing, and future-oriented sector of the economy where there is still much to improve.” – said Tomasz Szuba.
