Rail block supports in encasement – the TINES® EBS system is intended for use in a ballastless track construction, especially in sections where it’s crucial to reduce vibrations caused by the movement of rail vehicles, e.g., on engineering structures: steel or concrete, and in tunnels. Block supports are installed in prefabricated concrete or steel sockets using the elastic filling mass TINES® Polyrail.
There are two variants of TINES® EBS block supports:
- block support TINES® EBS – LR (Light Rail) used for maximum axle loads up to 160 kN and train speeds V ≤ 140 km/h
- block support TINES® EBS – HR (Heavy Rail) used for maximum axle loads up to 245 kN and train speeds V ≤ 250 km/h
Each variant of TINES® EBS block supports can occur in three variations:
- block support TINES® EBS referred to as hard:
– EBS-HR-SS – with static stiffness up to 60 MN/m,
– EBS-LR-SS – with static stiffness up to 60 MN/m,
- block support TINES® EBS referred to as medium:
– EBS-HR-MS – with static stiffness up to 30 MN/m,
– EBS-LR-MS – with static stiffness up to 15 MN/m,
- block support TINES® EBS referred to as soft:
– EBS-HR-LS – with static stiffness up to 15 MN/m,
– EBS-LR-LS – with static stiffness up to 9 MN/m.
The selection of the variant and type of rail block support of the TINES® EBS system for specific track construction solutions should be in accordance with the technical design.
Rail block supports in encasement are divided into two types:
1. rail block support in encasement TINES® EBS
– intended for use in track surface: on standard gauge, broad gauge, and narrow gauge railway lines, on above-ground and underground sections (also in the metro) as well as on straight and curved sections;
