We are pleased to announce that TINES Rail has won the “Technology Leader – Building Materials” award at the awards gala during the XVI edition of the “Infrastructure Poland and Construction” conference.

We thank the Competition Jury for this distinction, but above all, we thank our team, which with passion, dedication, and experience, sets new standards in the industry every day.

One of TINES’ key achievements was the introduction of systemic solutions used in ballastless track construction on the Polish market. The award was granted for the TINES® EBS fastening system, also known as  Rail Embedded Block System. This is an excellent example showing that the construction of the Central Communication Port and the development of high-speed rail create a unique opportunity for the dynamic growth of Polish enterprises, the implementation of innovative solutions, and the strengthening of the entire national construction industry.

As part of our development plans for the construction of high-speed rail in Poland, we have decided to adapt the TINES® EBS system to the above-standard requirements presented in the latest update of the standard for fastening systems: PN-EN 13481-5:2022-12. This document has not yet been included in the list issued by the President of the Railway Transport Office (UTK) regarding the relevant technical specifications and standardization documents that enable the fulfillment of the basic requirements of the railway system. Before proceeding with the research plan, we needed to ensure compliance of the new document with the requirements of the standard from the UTK President’s list: PN-EN 13481-5+A1:2017-04. The development work on the solution, confirmed by type testing at the Railway Institute, demonstrated that the fastening system meets the requirements specified in the technical specifications and standardization documents applicable to fastening systems of categories C and D for both versions of the document.

The achievements of TINES in 2024 can be considered groundbreaking, not only on the company scale but also in terms of the intellectual capital of the railway industry in Poland.

In 2024, TINES Rail obtained a Technical Opinion – fastening system – TINES® EBS system, Work no. 004250, Railway Institute, Department of Railway Tracks and Transport, dated December 13, 2024, which recommends, as the first solution from a Polish manufacturer:

„(…)the TINES® EBS fastening system in the variants of  Rail Embedded Block System TINES® EBS and TINES® EBS-R can be used on tracks intended for high-speed trains (V>250 km/h).”

The opinion was confirmed with an Indefinite Type Compliance Certificate no. IK/CZT/027/2024/V01 for the construction type of the TINES® EBS fastening system, Railway Institute, Quality and Certification Centre, dated December 20, 2024.

This distinction is the result of many years of collaboration with Polish universities and research institutions. All materials and technologies are developed in Poland, which strengthens the economy and promotes domestic technical thought. The TINES® EBS system is becoming a key element in the development of projects such as the construction of high-speed rail in Poland.
