As part of deliveries carried out for BUDIMEX S.A., we supplied a complete set of TINES\u00ae Polyrail <\/a>products, which were used to fill expansion joints between reinforced concrete elements of the emergency spillway at the Topola Hydroelectric Power Plant reservoir, under the contract entitled \u201cFlood protection of the Nysa K\u0142odzka River valley\u201d.<\/p>\n

The TINES\u00ae Polyrail<\/a> sealing system was selected for this project even though hydrotechnical applications are not among the typical areas of use for this technology. The system was tested and verified in practice in terms of the effectiveness of protecting the emergency spillway, and it shows strong potential for long-term and safe operation of a structure responsible for discharging excess floodwater.<\/p>\n

TINES\u00ae Polyrail 50<\/a> was used to perform the sealing works. This material is distinguished by its ability to effectively fill narrow gaps, as well as by its high resistance to water and changing weather conditions. The product also offers very good adhesion to various substrates \u2014 in this case concrete and stone \u2014 forming durable, flexible joints capable of compensating for displacements resulting from the structural behaviour of the facility.<\/p>\n

Before applying the sealing material, TINES\u00ae Polyrail 53+<\/a> was used as a primer to ensure proper preparation of moist substrates and increased peel strength under operational loads. This was a highly important criterion when selecting the product suitable for this application.<\/p>\n
